Morris Psychological  Services

We are a small team of experienced professionals with several years of combined experince working with individuals and groups to get their lives back on track and moving in a positive direction.  Our goal is to create satisfaction and a better quality of life in the lives of others by helping them to realize that they do have options and they do have purpose. 

Our team is led by Stephen Morris.  Stephen Morris is a psychotherapist with state licensure and two masters in counseling and marriage/family therapy. Stephen has extensive clinical experience within governmental, state and private entities. He is the Treatment Director for a residential treatment facility.   Stephen’s principle theoretical orientation for positive change centers on the cognitive-behavioral approach. Stephen believes that positive and desired change can be accomplished by changing one’s cognitions, thoughts and beliefs. Stephen’s clinical expertise includes: depression issues, addictions, weight loss/management (including weight loss surgery evaluations); children/adolescent psychosocial issues; educational issues/ school problems; bereavement and loss issues; foster-adoptive
family issues; eating disorders; and self-esteem development/issues. Currently, Stephen is a doctoral candidate in the field of psychology at Capella’s Harold
Abel School of Psychology.

Stephen was also an integral part of the team that does bariatric surgery on the television program Big Medicine on the Learning Channel when the team was based at the Methodist Hospital.
